Parents are the most important member of our team!

You are the expert of your child.  Parents identify areas of need and priorities for service. You will work collaboratively with other team members to implement and generalize skills as they occur in your natural environment. 

Our Commitment to You


FSSI Will: 


  • Have open, honest and respectful communication.
  • Provide an individualized program to meet your child and family's needs
  • Help your child reach their fullest potential
  • Work directly with you and your child to practice and show you strategies you can use at home or in the community to help your child grow and learn
  • Assist to resolve barriers to implementng strategies
  • Encourage you to share your thoughts and ideas 
  • Liaise and advocate with FSCD and other important community programs  
  • Provide transparent billing with no additional fees 

Your Commitment to Us

 

 Family Will:


  • Give open and honest communication about strengths and areas of challenge
  • Provide all current assessments and reports
  • Provide additional team contacts outside of FSSI to maximize collaboration efforts (school, medical, community)
  • Be willing to develop parent priorities for learning
  • Maintain appointment dates and times
  • Practice and try strategies I developed with my team 
  • Advise my team of important changes for my child and family (moving, new school)
  • Attend and participate in meetings with my team as needed
  • Provide ongoing feedback to my team on how my family and child learning goals are progressing
  • Be willing to self reflect and problem solve on my own and with my team 

Programming

1. Initiate Services through FSCD

We will receive your referral form from your caseworker or after you contact us.

 


2. Initial Phone Call

We will get to know you and your family and make sure we are the best fit for your family. 



3. Program Start up meeting

Together we will identify your priorities for service at our office.  




4. Programming begins

Home visits commence.
